These terms apply to everything you buy on p2print.net: designs you make with our design tool, 3D-printed parts, and the balance you pay them with. The seller is:
p2print sells every design and every part in its own name. You have a contract with p2print only, never with the makers who print for us.
1. Scope
These terms apply to all contracts between you and p2print concluded on p2print.net. Terms of your own do not apply, even if you refer to them.
We sell to customers in Switzerland and deliver only there. Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). We accept the payment methods shown at checkout, such as cards and TWINT.
These terms exist in German and English. If the two differ, the German version prevails.
2. Beta
p2print.net is in a beta phase. The design tool and the website may be interrupted, changed or discontinued at any time; there is no claim to availability. Features, prices and limits may change for future orders and designs, and in this phase the tool may be wrong more often than later. The rules on defects and liability in these terms are not affected by this.
3. p2print is your seller
p2print buys the parts it sells from independent makers with their own 3D printers ("Partners") and resells them to you. Your counterparty for the design, the part, its quality, delivery, warranty and payment is p2print alone. Partners have no obligations towards you, and you have none towards them.
On an order you can exchange messages with the Partner through p2print.net. Sharing contact details is not allowed. Everything that concerns your contract is settled with p2print.
4. Your account
Ordering requires an account. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into contracts. Your details must be true and complete.
You sign in without a password, with a link sent by e-mail or with Google (and, where offered, Apple). Keep access to your e-mail account and your sign-in provider safe; what happens in your account is attributed to you. Tell us without delay if you suspect misuse.
You can download your data and delete your account at any time in your profile. An account with an order that is still running is deleted once that order is completed. What deleting does to your balance is set out in section 6.
5. The design tool
With p2print’s design tool you design your part: you describe it in your own words, may add photos, a drawing or a 3D model, and correct the design until it is the way you want it. The tool works with AI. What it produces is a proposal.
The tool can misunderstand a description and make mistakes. We do not promise that a design fits anywhere, holds a load or suits any particular purpose. The tool uses the purpose you describe as guidance; it is never a promised property.
The tool checks automatically that the file can be printed and has the dimensions you typed in. That is not a review of the design: nobody checks whether the part fits, holds or works.
Before you order a part, you check the drawing set and the 3D view and approve the design. You are responsible for the design you approve. Where fit or load matter, order a single part first.
If a design does not meet something you stated explicitly (for example a dimension you typed in), we rework it free of charge; if that fails, we refund the design’s price. You have further claims only under section 15.
A design costs the price shown before you start, paid with a free design or from your balance. A design price covers the first drawing and up to the number of changes shown; a large change uses more of it than a small one, and the page shows what is left. When it is used up, you can continue the same design with another design price: we always ask first, and it is charged only when you press the button that names the price. For very large projects the number of design prices per design can be limited; you then start a new design. The free design or the price is reserved when you start or continue and is used or charged when a version is ready. If the design asks you something (a question, a choice or a confirmation) and you leave it unanswered for 24 hours, the reserved free design or price is used or charged too; you can still answer later and finish the design without paying again. If the design stops through a fault of ours, nothing is charged.
If you are not satisfied, you can ask us to refund a design price within 14 days of its charge, as long as you have not downloaded a file of the design or ordered a print of it: write to us at [email protected]. We refund it to where it came from (your balance or your free designs), and the design is then closed.
Before your first design you confirm that you know this: the design tool makes proposals and can make mistakes; you check the design and are responsible for the design you approve.
6. Your balance and your free designs
At p2print you have your balance and your free designs.
Your balance is money you topped up, with one of the amounts shown, by card, TWINT or another payment method offered. It pays for designs, changes and prints.
Free designs are given to you by p2print, for example when you sign up, with a voucher, or when you have a design printed with us. A new design uses a free design first, then your balance. A free design pays for a design price only (a new design, or continuing one), never for a print.
Free designs are not money and have no cash value. They are never paid out or refunded and cannot be transferred.
Each email address gets the free designs of signing up and of a voucher once, also across several profiles. Spellings of the same address (with a "+", or, at Gmail, with dots) count as one. Disposable addresses get none, and a company domain gets only a limited number in 30 days; if you need more, for example for your business, ask us.
In total you get at most 20 free designs from signing up and vouchers.
On a day with very many designs, p2print may pause the use of free designs until the next day; you can then pay from your balance or wait, and your free designs stay yours.
Your balance and your free designs can only be used to buy designs and parts from p2print. They cannot be transferred to anyone else, cannot be paid out to anyone else and earn no interest.
Your balance holds at most CHF 1 000; a top-up that would exceed this is refused.
Neither your balance nor your free designs expire.
Your topped-up balance, as far as not yet spent, is refunded to the payment method you used, at any time, from your profile. If the original payment method can no longer be refunded, we pay it to you by bank transfer.
VAT is not charged on a top-up but when the balance pays for a design or a part; the invoice shows it.
If a top-up payment is disputed with your card issuer, the disputed amount is taken off the balance, and neither the balance nor the free designs can be used until the dispute is closed.
If you delete your profile, your topped-up balance is refunded; your free designs lapse.
Design credit and balance from a voucher you received before this version were converted into free designs, at the price of a design, rounded up.
7. Prices and payment
All prices are in Swiss francs and include Swiss VAT (currently 8.1%). Shipping is shown as its own line. The total you pay is shown before you order.
A part is paid from your balance first, never with free designs. What the balance does not cover is paid by card, TWINT or another payment method offered at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; p2print does not see your card details.
You receive an invoice for every payment, in your account.
If a payment fails, is reversed or is charged back, p2print may cancel or hold the order.
8. How an order is made
You choose a design or upload a model, then the material, colour and quantity, and the delivery address. In the order summary you can check and correct everything, and you accept the characteristics of 3D-printed parts set out in section 12 in a box of its own. By clicking the payment button you make a binding offer to buy.
The contract is concluded when p2print confirms the order after the payment has gone through. You receive the confirmation by e-mail, and the order and its invoice are in your account.
Every part is made to your order from the design you approved. The approved design is your specification: defects that come from it (such as fit, strength or suitability) are yours to bear; p2print does not check the design and need not point such defects out to you. The approved drawing set (dimensions, shape, material and colour) is the agreed description of the part; for an uploaded model it is the file, in the material and colour you ordered.
If p2print cannot obtain the part, p2print cancels the order and refunds everything you paid, to the balance and the payment method it came from.
9. Delivery
Parts are made to order. Before you pay, you see the estimated delivery time and the latest delivery date. Delivery is not due before that date. It is at most 60 days after your order.
If the part has not arrived by then, you can set us a further period of at least 7 days; if it has still not arrived, you can withdraw from the contract and get back everything you paid. We are liable for damage caused by late delivery only under section 15.
Parts are shipped by Swiss Post with p2print as the sender, to addresses in Switzerland.
If you are a consumer, the risk passes to you when the part is delivered; if you are a business, when it is handed to Swiss Post.
If a parcel comes back because the address was wrong or you refused it, we may charge the cost of sending it again.
10. Cancelling an order
Every part is made to your specifications. Swiss law gives no general right to withdraw from an online purchase.
You can ask us to cancel an order until a Partner has accepted it; we then refund it in full. After that, cancelling is no longer possible.
11. Defects and warranty
A part is defective if, at delivery, it does not match the approved file within the tolerance in section 12, is not in the material or colour ordered, or has a print fault (for example layers that have not bonded, missing features or warping).
Not a defect: what comes from the design or from an uploaded file (fit, strength, function), normal wear, what results from overload, heat, sunlight or deformation under constant load, what follows from a use that section 12 excludes, and process-typical deviations.
Check the part as soon as it arrives. Report a visible defect within 14 days of receipt, with photos, and a hidden defect as soon as you notice it. If you report it later, you lose your rights for that defect.
If a part is defective, we reprint it free of charge or repair it. If that fails, we refuse it or it is unreasonable for you, you can reduce the price or, if the defect is not merely minor, withdraw from the contract and get your money back. As a rule we decide on the basis of your photos. If we need the part back, we tell you.
Your rights for a defect lapse two years after delivery.
12. Characteristics of 3D-printed parts, use and safety
A part is printed as you approved it, without p2print checking the design. It differs from an industrially made part. These characteristics are part of what you order; you accept them expressly and separately before you pay:
Strength and fit are not tested and not assured; the part breaks more easily along its print layers.
PLA softens from about 55 °C, PETG from about 70 °C.
Under constant load it can deform, and in sunlight it can become brittle and change colour.
Dimensions can deviate by up to ±0.5 mm; surface and colour show print marks.
Not for food contact, not a toy, not for uses where a break could injure someone or damage something.
Unless an order says otherwise, parts carry the label "Not for food contact. Not a toy.". Parts for food contact are made only when you order them as such, from filament declared for it, with a declaration of compliance.
We do not make toys for children under three, or parts for uses where failure could injure someone (for example medical devices, load-bearing parts for people, vehicle safety parts, weapons). Use a part only as these characteristics allow.
13. Your content and your design
What you upload or write (descriptions, photos, drawings, models) remains yours. You confirm that you have the rights to it, that it does not infringe anyone’s rights (copyright, design, trademark or personality rights), and that you are not asking us to copy a protected product of someone else.
You allow p2print to store, analyse and process this content, and to have it processed by its service providers, for as long as this is needed to provide the design tool to you, make and deliver your part, to handle warranty claims and reorders, and to meet legal obligations. The Partner who makes a part receives its model file for that purpose only.
p2print does not use your content for advertising, does not show your design to others and does not use your content to train AI models, unless you agree first.
Any rights that p2print acquires in your design (the drawing set and the 3D files) are transferred to you; where a transfer is not possible, you receive an exclusive, unlimited right to use them. You may use, change, print and sell the design and the parts made from it. A design generated by AI may not be protected by copyright or design law; p2print gives no assurance that it is.
If you believe content on p2print.net infringes your rights, write to us with what is affected and why. We check every notice and may remove content and refuse or cancel orders.
14. What we do not make
What can be designed, printed and sold with p2print, and what cannot, is set out on the Acceptable Use page; it forms part of these terms. It excludes, among other things, weapons and their parts, counterfeit goods, third parties’ logos and trademarks, and toys for children under three.
Every description, answer, change and upload is checked automatically before anything is designed or printed. If something is refused, you are told why, that the decision was made automatically, and that you can ask for a person to review it.
p2print may refuse or cancel orders that break these rules; if it cancels before production, you get your money back.
15. Liability
We are liable without limit for damage that we, or persons we are responsible for, cause intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under product liability law.
For slight negligence, we are not liable for indirect and consequential loss, lost profit or loss of data. For other damage, our liability for slight negligence is limited to the price of the order concerned; for a fault of a design whose drawing set you approved, to the design’s price.
We are not liable for damage arising because a part is used contrary to section 12 or loaded beyond the limits stated there, nor for whether a design you approved suits your purpose.
You can download your designs; keep a copy if you need them.
We are not liable for delays caused by events beyond our control (such as strikes, natural events or failures of the postal service); you then get your money back for anything not delivered.
Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
16. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for future contracts. We tell you by e-mail at least 30 days before a change takes effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then; money you paid in is refunded. Orders, designs and top-ups already made keep the terms they were made under.
17. Data protection
How we handle your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
18. Contact, complaints, law and venue
For questions and complaints, write to [email protected]. We do not take part in proceedings before a consumer arbitration body.
These terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
If you are a consumer, you can sue us at your place of residence or at our registered office, and we can sue you only at your place of residence. For businesses, the courts at our registered office have jurisdiction.
If a provision of these terms is invalid, the rest remain valid.
