Questions and answers

About the design tool, prices, printing, delivery and your data.

What is p2print?

A Swiss service: you describe a part or upload a 3D model, and we deliver it to you printed. p2print sells every design and every part in its own name. The printing is done by independent print partners with their own printers.

What can the design tool do, and what can it not?

It turns your description into a 3D design and checks that the file can be printed and has the dimensions you typed in. Whether the part fits, holds a load or works for your purpose is yours to check before you approve, because the tool works with AI and can make mistakes. Where fit or load matter, order a single part first.

Which files can I upload?

STL, 3MF, OBJ and STEP, each checked for printability. You can also give the design tool a photo, a drawing or a 3D model to work from.

How much does it cost?

A design has one fixed price that includes a number of changes. A printed part is priced per gram of filament, plus a fee per print plate and per order, with a minimum per order, and shipping is its own line. The numbers are on the pricing page and at checkout, in Swiss francs with MWST included.

Who prints my part?

A print partner: people and small workshops in Switzerland with their own 3D printers. We buy the finished part at the partner's published price and sell it to you at ours. The partner gets the file and the shipping label, never your price or your contact details.

Where do you deliver, and how long does it take?

During the beta, within Switzerland, by Swiss Post with p2print as the sender. Before you pay you see the estimated delivery time and the latest delivery date.

Can I change a design after I approved it?

Yes, a design includes a number of changes. A size the tool assumed is free to change. If a design does not meet something you stated explicitly, we rework it free of charge.

What if the part arrives damaged or wrong?

If a part does not match the approved file within the stated tolerance, is not in the material or colour ordered, or has a print fault, we reprint it free of charge or repair it. Report a visible defect within 14 days of receipt, with photos. What comes from the design, such as fit, strength or function, is not a defect of the part.

Can I cancel an order?

Until a print partner has accepted it, yes, with a full refund. After that, no. Swiss law gives no general right to withdraw from an online purchase.

What happens to my description, photos and files?

They stay with your account until you delete them or the account, and are used to design and print your part. We do not sell data and we do not train models on your files. The details are in the privacy policy.

Which material should I choose?

PLA for most things indoors, PETG for parts that get wet or sit outdoors, TPU for anything that must bend, ABS for heat. If you say what the part is for, checkout preselects a material that takes it, and you can choose another. The materials page has the limits.

Can I print something that touches food, or a toy?

A part for food contact is printed only on a filament its maker declares for food contact and the print partner attests to. Toys for children under three, weapons and a few other things are not made at all. The acceptable-use page lists the rules.
